How different would sports be...

If the superstars get all the calls and the game was called as correctly as humanly possible?
Maddux has a regular strike zone
MJ, Kobe and LeBron don't go to Line just as much as their opponents totals, and get in foul trouble sometimes
Would you still watch?

MLB has come a long way since maddux... The SZ is way more consistent.
NBA officiating on the other hand, is a board line joke... No consistency from game to game... Constantly playing favorites... too many arbitrary and stupid rules.

It is refreshing to see someone list all three of the MSBs most controversial NBA players in the same criticism, rather than singling out a specific player for a league-wide problem since inception. Have an up vote.

NBA refs are the worst, they miss the most obvious things all the time.

Would anyone be mad if NBA refs just didn't make any calls unless they were obvious fouls?
Would be nice, IMO.

IDK... it would return to the physical game of the early 90s... today's game is a better overall product.
They have too many rules and go to the monitors way too much and for too long ( only to still frick it up half the time)... I mean do we really need 7 different levels of flagrant fouls?

Look at the stats for Maddux in World Series games and that would give you an idea. He did not get the wide strike zone in those games

I'd prefer the more physical game. At least it's decided by the players that way.
Not that it's completely decided by the refs, but there's wayy too many calls where there isn't an advantage/disadvantage.
Guess it's pointless though, because they aren't going back that direction.

Yeah... no league ever de-regulates... in another thirty years who knows what bullshite rules the nba and nfl will come up with.
MLB will be the same... they may tweak with the mound height or ball... but they aren't fundamentally altering the way the games played.

I would like to Bill Laimbeer take Lebron's head off. Love to see the fights again.

Slow motion replay has spoiled the fans watching on television

It just shouldn't be so micro managed by the refs. When you start calling tick tack shite, it's impossible to call the game consistently both ways.

Imagin if every player was treated like Eric Gordon. There might be two fouls called a game.
