Could Khiry rush for 1,000?

I know the Saints are a passing team by nature, and have had a community back-field for some time now, but do y'all think Khiry Robinson could rush for at least 1,000 yards if given the carries?

How many carries are we talking?
Posted on 5/13/14 at 11:59 am to SaintlyTiger88
Sure. He's the most talented runner we've had since deuece

I think almost any RB in the NFL could rush for 1000yds if given the carries and healthy.

Ehh, in the range of 15-25 a game, which is unlikely, unless PT or Ingram get hurt.

Practically anyone could rush for 1k if given the carries

If he gets 500 carries, I guess.

I hope so!
Would make Saints nation very happy.
But would be funnier if MI did it.

You have to average 62.5 yards to reach 1,000
4 yards a carry, he'd have to average 16 carries
4.5, he'd need 14
5, he'd need 13
Do you think Sean Payton will let one RB in this system average 13-16 carries a game? Doubtful with all the specialization and PT/Ingram on the roster.

Thanks for the math lesson, but you proved my point
I didn't say he'd get that many carries. I just anyone COULD rush for 1000 IF they go enough carries. Will Khiry get enough carries? Unlikely

He could, but it won't happen unless MI or PT are gone for the season

I think he will be our carry leader this year. Don't know about 1k though

Can we get to training camp before I attempt to answer?

Only 13 teams had a 1K rusher.
My how times have changed.

I think they will put Ingram on trial early this year. This is his contract year, I doubt KR gets the chance until the following year. I wonder if he has any catching ability too. Ingram seems a bit too hyper to catch the ball.

why worry? If all three get 500 that's 1500 for the year. Respectable enough for the unit. What would be best is for one of them to get a hot hand and Peyton keep feeding that player instead of the constant rotation. Then rotate in the 4th to wear away the game...

Dunno why but this made me laugh.

Sure, but he won't get them.

I dunno, personality-wise I was a lot like Ingram on the field. I could catch the ball in practice, but not in the game. That had a lot to do with the emotions you have while playing the game, especially at a high level. It worked out for me because I figured out I really liked hitting people, so linebacker I became.
