How many schools are using the new SpeedFlex Riddell helmet this year?

Quite ugly, but supposed to be the biggest step safety wise for helmets in quite awhile.

Are most schools wearing these?

Is that a "crush zone" at the front of the helmet that pushes in to absorb impact?

Yes, it is.

I know they are "testing" them this year, but don't know who else is wearing them.

Expected to become mandatory as early as next season, assuming all goes well this year.

It might save your brain but you'll still break your neck if you hit with that part of the helmet.
