According to a report in New York Magazine, HarperCollins kept secret for months a new book by a man who claims to have irrefutable evidence that the never-captured Zodiac Killer is his father. HarperCollins acquired story more than a year ago but kept the Zodiac Killer details quiet until today.
The book, The Most Dangerous Animal of All, hits shelves tomorrow. The new claim comes from Gary Stewart, a vice president at a Baton Rouge construction company, who apparently discovered the gruesome connection while searching for his birth father.
Fifteen months ago he approached the publishing house with his story and began co-writing the book with true-crime writer Susan Mustafa. It's not the first time someone has publicly claimed they were fathered by the Zodiac Killer, but a HarperCollins publicist told New York Magazine that the company's lawyers vetted Stewart's claims and found them "legally sound."

I'll probably try and read it. I read signs of the zodiac and it was very interesting.

Not another one? Seems like we get someone with "definitive proof" of the identity of the Zodiac every few years.

Ok, but how can it be Arthur Lee Allen if his palm prints and DNA didn't match?

Don't they have some zodiac DNA? Could be easy to tell if this guy is full of it.

Is say there is a 95% chance it's him. Though gaikowski makes for an interesting look

I used to work for him 5+ years ago. He was working on a book back then.

They have DNA, fingerprint, palm prints

And of course, the person claiming such has a book to sell.

They have saliva samples from an envelope. Did zodiac lick his own stamps? Also the chain of custody is fricked. Same goes for the prints on the cab and lifted from the letters and envelopes

Once again I ask how can it be Allen when neither his DNA nor his palm print matched?
Posted on 5/12/14 at 8:04 pm to xTHUNDERBOLTx
They have a DNA profile that wouldn't hold up if the killer was delivered to their door

Doesn't matter anyway. The zodiac has most likely been dead for years.

Because they don't have a reliable DNA profile and the crime scenes (all of them) were grossly mishandled. I don't trust the partial and the palm prints were lifted decades later after god knows how many people touched them. Even if te profile was accurate, there is ZERO way to prove its zodiacs
