There are people all over the country buying Michael Sam jerseys, nobody outside of the Houston market is likely to be buying a Clowney jersey. Not surprising. Bitch and moan about it all ya want, but Sam is going to have fans in every stadium he plays in (if he makes the team).

Also as it has been stated numerous times most of his production came against the weaker SEC teams(Vandy/Florida) and Arkansas State

One, college success doesn't mean NFL success. But also it's not like Sam dominated "the SEC". He put up 9 of his 10.5 sacks last year in 3 games (Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, and Florida). So his numbers looked good at the end of the year but he's not consistent and didn't do it against the best of the best.
