The Rams had 5 defensive ends on their 53 man roster last season at the end of preseason.
They have 4 defensive ends that are absolute locks to make the roster: William Hayes, Chris Long, Robert Quinn, and Eugene Simms
That means Michael Sam will have to battle it out with Kendall Langford and Mason Brodine for the final DE spot. And given how productive Langford was last year it's an uphill battle.

First preseason game.... sam has 4 snaps in the 4th quarter... half the press conference will be about how michael sam performed in the game.
