the guy has great ability, but he wants a Cutch level contract and he's just not that kind of player. but, i guess this time last year it was kind of a similar deal -- power hitter, terrible against lefties, defensive liability -- and he started putting it together right about now to have a strong season.
to be fair, he's solved the disparity between RHP / LHP by being worse against RHP this season and dropping his average down to .200 against both.
