The Republicans would have you think the clown is capable of conducting an honest investigation, when the truth is that the outcome is already predetermined. His mouth has already written checks that he will be determined to cash with his committee.
We've already gotten a preview taste of his attitude when this past week he described the committee as a "trial" and the Obama Administration as "the defense".

People were murdered, that's what happens. If they didn't hide everyone that was there..If they would have brought someone to justice, except a completely innocent guy(except probation charge), then it would be a different kind of trial..But hiding everything like they have, and not supplying a lot of the eyewitnesses, emails,etc....They need to be on trial.Obama , Hilliary, Panetta, Rice, Rhodes, and Carney...

Its going to be like that. Gowdy probably ain't running again. He promised those families answers, and he's never been worried about perception, as well as never lost a case. I expect it to be brutal, and thorough.

The only certainty is that the Republicans will frick it up, its encoded in their DNA to shite their pants in these situations.
It will start out civil enough but each panel member secretly thinks this is his ticket to bigger things so it will devolve into shouting with the same scripted questions asked over and over again.
Also keep in mind these are House republicans which means the witnesses will be smarter than the questioner.
