After the first two rounds of the NFL draft, if you're a high school HB

do you go to your head coach and tell him you want to be a defensive back, instead? Or if you're a fullback, a linebacker instead?

You do what is best to help your team win and don't act like a prima donna.

no, I think H-Backs still have strong potential value going forward.

This is something Dylan is likely dealing with now. I would push him to defense.

This discussion took place last night on Facebook between coaches and friends with RB sons. Looks like they'll turn to safety starting this year.

Actually a good point, Rex. If you have elite talent it's crazy to stay at RB.

Seeing how he's what 16? I'm hoping he grows into DE -- which would be most beneficial for him financially if he keeps progressing like he's projected to do.

I would think about it. The RB position is just so devalued in today's NFL.

If you have elite athletic talent, then play a different position. If you are a good athlete, but not elite, RB is fine. I think that is what we already see in the draft this year....RB's that are good athletes, but no freaks.

Compared to RB, how many QB's have been taken in the draft so far?

just wait till fournette comes out...

No. When Seattle goes back to back with Marshawn Lynch as their entire offense, people will remember that running the ball and playing D has always won championships

After 45+ years of life, if you're a grown arse man but a couple of times you've stepped into a dog costume for some YouTube videos do you ask yourself if you want to be a dog more than a human?

With no HS incident and no parking lot incident who knows where Hill would have went.....i do think that HBs will become more cognizant of colleges that might/will overuse them.

no higher, most evaluators when ranking players don't consider that stuff.

why? RB's are not falling in the draft because of over use. I know it sounds like it makes sense that if they get fewer carries in college they will have "more tread on the tires" as pros, but that is not the case. Its a position that will burn out by age 30 regardless. There are plenty of guys that were workhorse backs in college that had long careers and no evidence that less use at the amateur level extends careers at the professional level for RB.

not much difference in the "money : where you are picked" comparison, so who cares?
If a team needs a RB, they are going to draft one,
If a team needs a RB, they are going to draft one,
