So basically the savior we will have to rely on is the same police officers that sit at traffic lights doing nothing being moved to other intersections to do nothing. And take away some parking... BRILLIANT!

Seriously. Hopefully there is a whole lot more thought put into it than the same contraflow just with PD moved.

Not a peep about game day traffic going TO the stadium.

Get there before 10, loser

Leave after the game and you won't hit traffic leaving either

Haven't hit bad traffic in the last 5 years

Skip had traffic figured out 10 years ago. Yet Alleva pays a consulting firm only to make it worse. Awesome.

"Doing nothing"?
not so fast my friend........ I often see them talking on their cellphones while sitting on the hoods of their cruisers while traffic is in gridlock.

They also yell at you if they think you're disobeying them.

So they're not doing nothing...

And strangely they don't pay any attention to fans trying to cross the street: They just keep waving the cars on.

one delima the officers have faced in the last few years (since the $40 parking) is it's hard for them to know when the game actually ends since many fans leave beginning at halftime to reach their cars before the game ends.

This is what the consultant study came up with? Oh fml, what a rip off this turned out to be.

Suggests not parking on Nicholson as one item. That's genius and is really going to help the traffic.

I'm sure a bunch of season ticket holders that exit in each direction could come up with a decent plan that would improve traffic a little. But the "professionals" want to shift the cops sitting at the lights around.

Smh

The report, which was not released to the public, also recommended eliminating parking along Nicholson Drive on game days. But Alleva said he didn’t expect that recommendation would be implemented.

Come on, man.

Supervisor Stanley Jacobs asked whether there were plans to accommodate the 8,000 additional season ticket holders’ vehicles that would be needed after the expansion was complete.

In the short term, Alleva said, the former graduate student apartments on Nicholson Drive, which are being torn down, could be used for temporary parking. But long term, he said, he would like to see a parking garage constructed.

there were at least 2 games last season, when traffic on Highland going south was not contra flow as it should be. then once the south bound traffic came to a complete stop the cops began enforcing the contra flow. If those idiots would block north bound traffic by games end the gridlock would never occur. But I'm sure their cellphone conversations are to important to interrupt with something so trivial as doing their jobs out there.

What? The consultant group suggests no parking on Nicholson on game day. This solution seems like something that really won't help much and will cause other problems.

I never said it was going to be implemented. I was pointing out that if this is the type of answers to the traffic problems this study is going to rely on the study is fricked
