Trey Gowdy seems himself as a prosecutor rather than lead investigator

On Morning Joe, Scarborough asked Gowdy if he intended to wrap up the committee investigation in a timely manner, or stretch it into next year's campaign season. Gowdy replied “if an administration is slow-walking document production, I can’t end a trial simply because the defense won’t cooperate.”
A "trial"? The "defense"?
In the meantime, John Boehner has promised that this Benghazi Select Committee "investigation" "is not going to be a circus". LINK
Don't worry, America, it looks like circus clown Gowdy Doody has already decided it's going to be a kangaroo court, instead.
For their part, the NY Times Editorial Board is urging Democrats debating whether or not to sit on the Committee to skip the farce. LINK

Well, since we're arguing over the semantics regarding Susan Rice and Benghazi, can't we just go ahead and assume that Gowdy was just making an analogy.
I.e. "if an administration is slow-walking document production (pause) I can’t end a trial simply because the defense won’t cooperate.”

its a given that they will try to "conclude" that obama did something wrong. They won't have proof.
But I think if Gowdy behaves as a prosecutor, that is probably a good thing. Prosecutors will often drop cases that have no merit.

He can only exonerate the WH because they did nothing wrong. At this point Gowdy can only fabricate disparaging, unethical, or illegal claims about Benghazi.

This is how I know you are worried your "side" in this is going to get skewered. You are freaking out over an analogy. I'll be interested in seeing how and what you have to say if something damning of the administration comes out.
