quote:Verrett and Dennard I would have to think. They were looking hard at CBs all over the draft so they obviously want to take one somewhere.
Payton said the Saints still had three players left in their "cloud" of targets. But Cooks was the only one they had deemed worthy of trading up to get.

Probably Lee as well
I think all the Lee talk has just been a smokescreen. Teams obviously don't like him that much. Look at all the teams that could have really used a WR that passed on him.

You never know though. They may have liked him but had other guys fall to them. Although I expected him to be picked before KB. Maybe the injury scared everyone away.

Not just the injury. You watch him and it's the hands and the lack of routes he ran. He is far from a polished WR and made his hay the year before on crossers. The only good thing about him is his acceleration. His top end speed isn't even that great(good, but not great).
It's possible though. I just highly doubt it.

Yeah I'm glad we went with BC

Yeah I'm glad we went with BC
Once that happened I just knew they were going to trade up(thought with the Dolphins so when that didn't happen I was confused). Someone earlier said that their "source" told him the Saints liked Lee better and I was hoping against hope that wasn't true.
I'm so glad that wasn't true.

Yeah when I saw we traded up I yelled COOKS!!! And then said oh shite or Lee...

I don't know a lot. There's a lot I don't even know that I don't know.
But when I know something I'm not afraid to say it. You can't live life worried about what others will think of you.

Also props to Trip for almost calling this exactly in the live blogger mock. Only 1 pick of from the trade spot.
Edit:
Just saw this one and wow oh wow:
Benjamin will make Carolina forget Smith
This guy eats up everything Rivera and the GM tell him. He went from acting like the sky was falling, to listening to some seriously flawed logic about what a #1 WR is and if teams really need one, to buying into the bs that Underwood will be better than Ginn was last year.
And now this?
