Martin is still on the board and is the most likely choice where we currently stand. However, if Matthews is there, should we go WR-WR and take him in the 2nd? His size/speed combo is very nice, and he could be a great compliment to Cooks.

Now here are some interesting options. What about packaging one of our 5ths and moving up to grab Roby? Better yet, what about moving up for Lee? There are still a few stud DE/OLB targets out there too. I think at this point, trading to the top of the 2nd would be a nice move to land any of these fellas.

My ideal scenerio? Either trade up for Ealy or stay put and hope Martin or Matthews fall to us, which is likely. No matter what, tomorrow will be very interesting.

ETA: Roby taken after I posted this. Scratch him lol

HA!

I meant to type Ealy, so that's still legit (I fixed it in OP). But yes, bye bye Roby.

I really want a trade up for Ealy tomorrow. Let's get the top talent while we can!

that's truth. I guess realistically there's no reason to trade up again. But damn, Ealy would be a fricking great get.

And I am jonesing for Matthews if we don't move. How great would it be to get him and Cooks in one draft? That has potential to be a great duo for many years

Would some of you want to trade our 4th and pair of 5ths for a 3rd?

But yeah, Martin almost certainly won't make it to our pick. I would like Baptiste, Richburg, Van Noy, or Demarcus Lawrence.

I know they are different types of receivers, but we absolutely cannot take Matthews at 58. Unless we are willing to cut Colston after this season. Or trade Jimmy. And we're not. We'll take BPA or trade back into the 3rd.

why not? Colston is approaching his end, and I don't see him here after 2015. Stills looks to be a solid guy, but we don't have that one WR with the size/speed combo to be the True #1. Matthews fits that part. I say it's great to go WR/WR and solidify the position. Plus it's still a crap shoot, so let's hedge our bets and increase our odds of at least hitting on one at the position and potentially hitting it with 2.

He seems to have some promise, so I am down with this as well. I really think we need to get a future OLB.

Hey man, ive argued endlessly about our old WR corps on this board(btw, trading up to get Cooks only proves they have the same concerns), so I see where you are coming from.

But at the moment, we have other holes. And in the passing game, we now have Graham, Stills, and Cooks as a great, young foundation. Good thing about these guys is they are versatile. Can line up just about any where. They look to be great compliments to each other. And that is without even mentioning a guy like Colston, who is slowing down, but still effective.

Back to the other holes; if one of these pass rushers or CB drops, or a Center, then those are must takes. I just dont think we can go WR in the 2nd round. Later in the draft, possibly. It's not like the world is ending tomorrow. If Colston is gone by 2015, we have that time to replace him. No need to rush into nabbing another one in the 2nd round. That is kind of video-gamish.
