I know about most of the nice places in B.R. from the food board, but any of them consistently have chef tastings? figured that would be a nice addition for my 1year anniversay.... still not sure why she married me, so i figured I'd do something neat for her...
I've done Ruffinos, Beausoleil, Mansurs and Ruths since weve moved here....
Maison Lacour looks good as well as a couple other places. Not sure if we will be able to head out to the houmas house place, due her job and time constraints... would like to stay in B.R.

Stroubes does a tasting menu on Thursday nights by reservation only for $35/person

Mathernes supermarket does wine dinners that are outstanding.

18 Steak does pairing dinners all the time. Apparently way better than their regular menu.

Blend does pairing dinners once a month.

This was one of my concerns... they usually say, the table has to participate... but what defines a table?

I have to ask about what kind of tasting it could really be for $35.

Does sound a little under priced...
Most seem to be b/w $75-$100 per or so...

Just outside of B.R. Latil's at Houmas House does a 7 course tasting. I think it is $100 without wine paring. I think they change the menu every month or so. Dest dining experience in the area.
