I could care less about those ghetto hoodrats. But what hurts me the most is to see those little children be exposed to such nonsense. They know no better. They have such horrible influences in their lives. It just makes me sick really.

I LOVED the fact that the kids witnessed it ONLY because they may have learned a lesson. They were mimicking what they were seeing. That little fricker telling the cop he was gay and he'd get knocked out...

Judging from the mum and others I'm sure that's just a typical day for them.

Exactly my point. Growing up in that type of household with that type of role model to look up to. Their ceiling in life is drastically lowered.

'Kick arse mall cop' Darien Long back at downtown Metro Mall

Now that Creative Loafing's office is smack dab in the heart of south Downtown, the infamous Metro Mall is literally a block away. In fact, from our window we enjoy a hawk-eye view of the flea market's front entrance - and its patrons' comings and goings - along with its characters. And one in particular that went missing in action has since returned.

Indeed, vigilante mall cop Darien Long is back as onsite manager of Metro Mall.
