I want to grill some pork chops. I want some thick 1.5-2" thick ones. I don't know where to go in Denham or Baton Rouge to get them.

Anybody have a good meat market or butcher shop? Thanks.

Try Whole Paycheck or Fresh Market. Calandro's or Calvin's might have them too.

I hate to bust your bubble, but I like the cheapest, fattest pork chops I can get my hands on.

Make sure they are thin sliced, SnP w/garlic powder, dredge in flour and fry. One of the cheapest, best tasting meals you ever had. Slap some apple sauce next to it and it is 5 star trailer trash gourmet eats.

I like them cooked in a gravy better than fried but ive never turned down a fried pork chop either. I ate a grilled/baked pork chop from Parrains the other day and want to try my hand at it.

If anybody knows how to cook a Parrains pork chop, please let me know.

Trader Joe's sell a thick French cut pork chop. Two to a pack.

The ones at Portabellos are good.
Supposedly, so are Chimes.

There's another one on Corporate at Jefferson, across the street from Whole Foods.

Same here. I like them thin cut. I just fry them up in a little oil with some Slap Ya Mommas and eat em up. I fry them just until they start to turn brown, and some pieces get golden.

Super fast and tasty.

Any store will do just buy a whole or half loin and get the chops to your desired thickness at home.

I personally like a bone-in chop. My grandad used to slow smoke them and "bathe" them with a vinegar based mop sauce..... absolute awesomeness....
