Apartment searching in Fort Worth

Going to be moving to Fort Worth for a job later this month and I'm looking for an apartment. Could some of you locals help me out and point out areas of town to avoid? Work will be in the north part of town, around where 820 meets I-35. TIA

Nothing south of I-20.
Between I-30 and I-20, everything west of of McCart/Forest Park is good all the way to Camp Bowie/Benbrook, but east of that is hit or miss. Lots of good neighborhoods east of that, but the area within a few blocks of berry is not so nice, and same with Main Street in this area.
From Camp Bowie/7th Street/University to Montgomery Palaza is a good yuppie area, if that's what you're looking for. The south end of downtown around Lancaster is also that kind of scene with lots of converted lofts.

I had a mtg near Currie and 7th today. Seemed like a good area with plenty of apartments and entertainment options.

What's your price range?
Anywhere around 7th and downtown, it'll be expensive, but you'll want to be around there.
I have a friend that lives in Montgomery Plaza, and I like it. Only thing is, the layout is a bit strange. The AMLI, both the downtown and 7th street locations, are really nice.
If you look around TCU, there are probably plenty of cheaperISH apartments. The only thing about that area is that there really isn't much to do.
I wouldn't go too far west, it's more families and such.
ETA: Damn, the AMLI on 7th is only $1,400 for a 2 bedroom. I wish I was paying that here.
