The new google maps update got me thinking about why Apple, Google, etc haven't made a push to by Waze.

How much do you think it would take?

I don't understand why more people in BR don't use Waze?
When I travel to NOLA and other cities, it shows drivers all over the map.

I apologize. I assumed since they hadn't integrated its technology into anything then it was still a free agent

1) People who are from Baton Rouge are aggressively bad drivers. Waze would defeat their goals.
2) Ascension trash can't drive?

Waze is money. I can't tell you the last time I drove by a cop where the app hadn't already alerted me in advance.

I use it all the time on my commute to/from work. I always know when there is a wreck and wether or not to take a detour.

People have saved me from tickets by marking cops. I try and return the favor. By far the best feature. Even if it's an older location, you know they might be in the area.

Remember what I'm about to tell you. Remember it for all your days: When Waze tells you to turn or get off the interstate, YOU frickING TURN OR GET OFF THE INTERSTATE! Don't question, just do.

It might not always warn be able to warn you when you're about to be going 0 mph, especially if the traffic is just developing and the system hasn't had time/enough reports to begin rerouting people. However, when it does warn you and reroutes you, it's not kidding.

EDIT: Also, remember that Google spent over $145 dollars on this. I'd bet they're using Waze as a testbed to iron out the kinks and ultimately the algorithm will be used to intelligently and efficiently route self-driving cars in real time response to emerging traffic situations (i.e.: idiots not in self-driving cars causing wrecks... aaaand we're back to BR drivers).

Google has, if you look Maps will tell you "reported by Waze" on routes or Google Now.

Waze is one of my top 3 used apps. I thought people with limited data didn't use it in fear of their cap but after checking the last few months it surprisingly uses little data.

I just downloaded it and started clicking on the little ghost icons and one of you has the name Paige on TD.

Which one of you creeps are going to admit to it?
