Got to cook 7 bags this weekend. I normally only cook 2-3 so I'm not sure how my spice ratio will work figure out with 280lbs. Can you give me some pointers on how to make the seasoning stay constant with that many boils.
Thanks!
Thanks!

if you want to go fast, steam them. don't actually 'boil' them

Speed is not a problem. We have plenty of time. Just trying to figure out how much seasoning to add to boil after each cooking.

After the fisrt batch I would cut my seasoning in half for the next batch and continue this for every remaining batch.
What size pot you using? 2 sacks at a time?

Then put in ice chest and seasoning on top.
Am I doing this right?

no
season in the pot. 10 minutes is all it takes from steam to table

Cool, I was just curious... Don't really know why..
I normally do 4 sacks, 2 at a time in a 160qt pot. I put the same amount of seaoning in the second batch to spice them up for the beer drinkers... Me
Half seasoning per batch should work fine after your first batch, the seasoning will "grow" after a few batches if you do more than this, specifically the saltiness.

please do not do this

Clean the ever living shite out of your bugs if you're reusing the water more than once. We did 160 Saturday in two pots, and had to dump the water out of one since the cleaning process was shitty on our first batch. Gritty and nasty.
I add another bottle of crab boil, some more lemons, another container of cayenne and a bit of salt. I don't go back to the premix powder at all.
Seriously though, the water should look like an edible soup broth...if it gets dirty you gotta dump that shite. I probably would dump it after 2 batches of critters anyway. We did a boil of just veggies, lightly seasoned, then just added that to the soaks to give each batch just enough veggies. That pot did two batches of crawfish just fine.
Dumping the water after the dirty batch made all the difference, pot number 3 was the best of the day.

Liquid crab boil should be used sparingly. I'd lightly reseason them after every two pots. You could really just have a couple of those bags to throw in there and be good

They're stupid and wrong, just saying.

i wouldn't do more than 2, maybe 3 batches before changing the water
since you have 2 pots, you may be ok

The crawfish farmers in Basile steam theirs as well. I'm all about the quality of the tail meat and I hate over cooked crawfish, so I'm intrigued.
