I have an old snapper that's 20 years old and the motor has a bit of a miss and the carburetor needs to be rebuilt. I just want to get rid of it. Any suggestions? I thought about taking it to a recycling place. Would they even take it?

TIA

BFI or leave it by the road.

Yeah, like that. It's a 30" cut. Keep in mind it's old as shite. The belly is in pretty decent shape but the rest of the mower is meh. It's a 92 model. Oil gets on the spark plug and fouls it out about every 2 or 3 cuts.

Eta: It has a brand new starter & battery.

Do you have to take the rubber and plastic off as well as drain all fluids before you take it to the scrapyard?

You can sink it and turn it into an artificial reef so that you can catch snapper with...Snapper? right? RIGHT? This thing on?

Those things cost some serious bucks in their day.

You could grill the snapper for a classy dinner which is almost certain to result in a little snapper slapping later that night.

Snapper -> snapper -> SNAPPER!

Sell it on CL. There are plenty of Snapper RER guys who can revive it. The parts are interchangeable and easy to get. My Snapper is 45 years old and still cutting. Post a pic please.

This or just give it to someone posting that will pick it up. Time you bring it to a scrap place, you will burn more gas then what you will get for it.

You should give her a chance. She still has 2 options to exercise.

It needs a new motor. I'm going to take it to the scrap place Friday. I'll take whatever they give me. I have a want to get it off my property.

Put on Craigs list for $100. Or the sportsman. It will sell.

Or lock in gear and get some beer and friends and shoot it going through the woods.
