Pulled up to my sister's (no pics) house last night right before sundown. Saw these big fellas strutting around the yard.

Then the dog got loose and they hauled arse into their roost.

There's 4 for those of you playing along at home.

Bro in law (no pics) says they've had as many as 13 in the yard before. Complained about all the crapping they do in the yard. I was late to dinner because I was watching them til it was dark!

These people talk about turkeys the way we talk about hogs.

I was up in Rochester NY one fall and almost got in a wreck in my truck trying to avoid the group of like 30 turkeys. If I had been on top of my game I would have thrown open the driver door and gotten one.

Nice. There are a ton of them on my way to work. I finally got going fast enough one day to hit one but she flew off like I had only grazed her.

Yeah, near Cape Cod. No wonder the pilgrims got so amped about thanksgiving. These things are everywhere.

And they are used to cars, so it's east to get close.

I'd get a bow and use your truck as a blind....
