So I changed my brake fluid out. Old and nasty. Bought truck a month ago son I figured I would snoop around. Change oil and what not. Question is read brakes. They are disc and both pads are loose and rattle a bit. If it was just one I would Chang pads and or disc out. But its both sides acting same way. Never owned a Ford so Maybe that's common place. Brakes are nit squeeling at all and stop well.

Thats normal, you don't really want them tight when they are't applied.

Thanks. My GMs were away from the rotor But the pads did not rattle in the caliper housing like they are doing now

There are some small metal retention clips that should hold them in place when they are not putting pressure on the rotor. But if they are able to move a bit, there isn't an issue. That can happen from time to time.

Ford, brakes are the least of your worries.

What order did you bleed them and how did you bleed them?

the anti rattle clips are gone if the pads flop around.
buy a hardware kit for the brakes at a parts store.
or you can buy Premium Brake Pads for about $35 and it comes with them.

I think I'm going to just hit up new pads. No big deal.
And I bled them from passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, and the driver front. Furthest away first. Had the wife pressing pedal while I crached the bleeds. Closedthem up bbefore she released pedal. Rinse and repeat. Used and old turkey baster to suck out most of the old shite fluid before I began. Topped off with fresh. Made a markable difference.
