First of all, frick that dude for stealing a bike. I mean, are you serious? But he is going to be given the opportunity to run himself into DE shape, which is where I think we need him after Jordan Allen left. How he responds to his adversity may go a long way to providing much needed depth along the DL.

I understand your point, but forget the depth at DL, how about going a long way in developing his character, i.e. You don't throw away a half million in education and professional development over a stupid bicycle. C'mon Frank, grow up. Your not a kid anymore.

I agree character > football ability. Mold character first.

Stupid decision.

crazyLSUfan, Please accept this as a friendly critique. What you and Hoodat are doing here is reducing this immoral act to a rational/irrational debate. That's not what's most important. Had it been a million dollars instead of a bike your argument would be invalid. Our society has lost it's moral compass when we say, about a crime, "He made a poor choice." The real issue is: he made an immoral choice. That statement is true regardless what he stole and regardless what his chances were of being caught. Your post does allude to this when you emphasized character. It's the "Stupid decision" part I'm addressing.

He didn't get moved to DT because he was out of shape.
He got moved because that is a better position for him.

We aren'y really that weak at depth AT DE
HUnter, Rasco, Bowers, Neal, Patterson, and Clark when he gets in. All fit the Position better

frick that. It's football. Talent is more important. You don't want a bunch of fairy, do-gooders on the field.

Wasn't Herron above Neal, Patterson and Clark, though? Or am I wrong?

Sione Teuema..however you spell it....may be LB or DE

We are fine at Dline, depth-wise.

Not saying that stealing a bike means that he will go all "Rahim Alem" and kick the football on fourth and 15 against Arky: but I'm also not saying that Eric Reid's penalties were were ridiculous either.

Reid got penalized for punishing wide receivers, Alem made some dumb mistakes that cost us for no reason.

Somehow, what i am trying to say is that the smart guys usually didn't make stupid mistakes off the field. Herron reminds me more of Alem, than Reid at this point.
