Officer-involved shooting reported in Tigerland

BATON ROUGE - News 2 crews are on the scene of a reported officer-involved shooting in Tigerland.
The shooting happened in the 4600 block of Y A Tittle Avenue around 1 p.m. Narcotics officers were reportedly on scene when the shooting happened.
Witnesses told News 2 they heard several shots being fired, and law enforcement were seen administering aid to someone at the scene.
Law enforcement contacted by WBRZ said they did not have information they could release at this time.
News 2 will have more information as it becomes available.

Crazy. My girlfriend and I were just discussing the Terry Melancon shooting yesterday. She's not from here but met his mother yesterday and asked if I knew the story. The world lost a good dude that day.

Dang, sorry for your loss. That had to be a difficult day. I couldn't imagine how difficult it had to be to tell his fiance the horrible news.
