Fournette reminds me of Manziel in terms of balance...

I was watching this video and the main thing that kept striking me was that this guy just doesn't fall down. He has that other worldly slipperiness where no one seems able to wrap him up and when they do, he trips, recovers and keeps going. Manziel has that same weird elusiveness where he just always keeps his feet.
Anyone else see what I'm talking about here, or am I crazy?

Just remembered why I stick to the other boards.

Yes. That's one of the greatest things about him. He's a big, tall back who looks like he's glued to the ground like a smaller back. Guys hit his legs and just bounce off of him. He only goes down with solid tackles, which are hard to get on him because he's so powerful and elusive.
ETA: Manziel had this ability too but without the size and strength. He kept his feet glued at a wide stance and kept moving.

I wasn't comparing them in every way, but in terms of balance and slipperiness they're very similar.

Fournette is even better at it though. Think about it, unless there is a blitz on the QB or a spy on him, Johnny only has a few guys to avoid while the rest are dropped back into coverage and being taken care of by the O-line. When Fournette got the ball, the whole team would converge on him and he would still embarrass them. He is truly something special.

Manzel has a low center of gravity and cuts very quick, but not great balance. I've seen him go down, untouched, or he just was tired, a lot.

a lot of those boys in those videos are men amongst boys. He is a man among lesser men.

Wow! I thought he might have been just a tad bit over hyped but geez, that's a running fool

Very much like Marcus Allen...

I see what you mean. He's sure footed, doesn't trip either.

Dat speed !!
Pass play at 1:55. He breaks a tackle and has another guy sprinting right on his back just as he's getting his footing back then he immediately separates from the guy. The hype is real with this one.

Two totally different positions . You can't compare a QB in shotgun to a rb .

In this video he is a man among boys. As good as he is, he will have some growing pains this upcoming year. But in years 2 & 3 as a Tiger, he will continue to get better and will once again be a man among boys.
I can't wait to witness his development.
