It was just a matter of time. I hope they win.

House Resolution 105 by Rep. Major Thibaut, D-New Roads, stated that the LHSAA ruling has had a “negative impact on dozens of student athletes and their families and on the community as a whole, and penalizing the school’s athletic program in such a drastic way is unwarranted.”

What were the circumstances surrounding the ineligble player? Typically transfer rules are pretty straightforward. Maybe they should be mad at the coach for playing the kid.

if said player was ineligible, then pay the price. I think its a joke for adults to claim

This is what's wrong with the world. We broke the rules and wont accept the consequences, so we blame others.

And the House Resolution is a classy little waste of legislative time.

They're busy in committee making sure no dogs ride in the back of pick up trucks on the interstate.

Lol wuh. This is what's right with the world. If one doesn't like the rules, they have the opportunity to go try to change it. Otherwise, we would live under an authoritarian system. There are too many "rules" out there that bear no reasonable basis to what they are supposedly trying to "protect." If these people are wrong in their suit, the judicial branch will make the decision and the rule will remain the same.

Pointe Coupee is a failing school district, kids are allowed to go to any public school they choose. I'm not sure if that has any affect on the transfer rules or not.

If he came from a failing school district, I think it's still up to the AD and coaches to do their due dilligence and determine his eligibility before letting him step on the field.

I'm not a big fan of the way LHSAA does a lot of things, but there has to be some personal responsibility here.

Pointe Coupee only has one HS now (Livonia) If you're referring to Pointe Coupee Central High, then that school is in RSD.

I think after this school year ends, PCC is no more. I would imagine at that point there will be a procedure in place for kids to gain eligiblity wherever they end up.
