So here's an average night for my 4 year old daughter and my wife(no pics):

9pm: Kid goes to bed in her bed.
11pm: Wife goes to bed.
12:45am: Kid comes in our room and climbs in bed.
1am: Wife starts dreaming about losing a fight to Bruce Lee.
1:02am: We put the kid back in her bed.
2:15am: Kid climbs back in our bed
2:17am: Wife starts dreaming about Bruce whipping that arse again.
2:19am: Put the kid back in her bed again.
3:30am: You get the idea.

Anyone have any success stories in getting their heathen arse 3-5 year old to cut this out?. When she was smaller it wasn't a big deal but now that she's putting the sleep n beat on the wife it's getting out of control.

Yeah you remembering that cute period when they're too small to throw a sleeping kung fu kick to your dome.

May try this. I'm betting she gonna scream her arse off when we do this.

I broke that rule one time this past year and it took me two weeks or so to break her of it. You're going to have to tough love it, man. And you're going to go through some fairly sleepless nights. But I don't want to allow my daughter to get in the bed at night and that's one rule I've tried to stick to the hardest. And it's worked.

I'm really hoping my daughter never starts this. I think the rule is to just not allow it in the first place.

I know know too many parents that have 7 year olds still sleeping with them at night.

At first probably. She'll stop though if you don't give in. If you give in though it'll never stop.

Same here. You'll basically have to train them so that they understand that no matter how many times they come in to your room, they are going back into their own bed. It might take a few nights, but once they get it through their head that you're sticking to it, they'll stop.

I'm with you Mick. My son NEVER starts off in the bed sleeping with us, but if he comes crawling into our bed at 2 or 3 in the morning, then I absolutely will let him. I know I only have a few years of this, and I want to cherish them as much as possible.
