Help with 1911 purchase. Too many brands!

So I am looking at a new 1911. I am having a hard time deciding on a brand/model. Looking around ~1000.
Here is the list.
Kimber Raptor II
Kimber Tactical Custom II
Sig Sauer Nightmare
Dan Wesson RZ-45 Heritage
Springfield Loaded Stainless
S&W E Series
The Sig,Springfield and S&W are all around or below 900. The others are 1000 and above highest being the Dan Wesson at 1100
I am new to 1911's and don't know much about them. I currently only own a cz75.
Honorable mention would be the Kimber Eclipse but the finish wears too quickly when I went to see them at Jim's.
I am expecting at least a KR and bapple response.

Only logical answer is one of each

<--- slowly losing my faith in Kimber. Their quality seems to have dropped in recent years.

Out of those listed I'm going with the S&W E series or the Kimber Raptor.
I own a raptor and the E series pistols that I have shot are too notch.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys
Is the Kimber comment earlier about the external extractor issue they had and nobody really let that go or is it really a concern on their quality nowadays?
I really liked the Raptor and the E Series and those were my top choices but is the Raptor worth the 300+ over the S&W?
I am intrigued about the Sig because the bobtail is so damn comfortable and the internals/external extractor are basically P series which are known for reliability.

For the most part, Kimbers are still great guns.
What I see at the gun range - If anyone has a problem w a 1911, it's usually a Kimber.
Usually, it's a feed related problem.
I've yet to see a single Springfield with any problems.
Maybe it's just Kimbers that don't have enough rounds through them yet.
I think Kimber suggests a 500+ round break in period.

Has anybody had any dealings with the Sig 1911's?

I have a Springfield Loaded and a Sig Sauer TacOps. I love the Springfield but that Sig is a fine pistol, and the one I would rather shoot.

I have a Sig C3 that has been a great carry pistol for me

STI.
I loved the STI, but dammit those ugly arse big words on the side of the slide turned me off.

You can get a Colt XSE for around a grand.

That xse seemed badly made compared to the kimber, sig, and sti. Seemed like the springfield in quality.

How so? Colt's normally run a little looser in slide to frame fit by design (which is in keeping with the original 1911 idea). Looser tolerances on the slide / frame increase reliability in dirty conditions and have no real effect on accuracy.
