Was anyone else listening last night to Mainieri's post game radio show?

(Sorry if already posted in another thread.)

Mainieri said he talked to Laird in the 9th inning BEFORE Robertson came to bat with Foster on second base pinch running for Moore after Ibarra sacrificed Foster to second base.

Mainieri said he told Laird if Robertson didn't drive Foster in, the Vols were going to intentionally walk Stevenson to get to him, so get ready to be a hero again!

I'm pretty good at guessing what the other team will do when a batter comes to the plate but I admit I can't look ahead two batters into the future and predict what's going to happen. I guess that's why Mainieri is in the College Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and I'm sitting in the stands watching him coach the team to wins.

Paul dominated last night. He always has a great game when the entire family tree is in the dugout.

if you're actually saying that PM knowing that they would walk Stevenson makes him a good manager than you clearly dont know much about baseball. Everyone and their grandma knew they would do that.

Let's see how much you know about baseball based on your posts last night in the game thread.

Mainieri seriously does not care with Brady, Person and Mcune pitching tonight...

I dont see us scoring many more runs this game. WE always seems to have one good inning and do nothing after that.

Did you know it even before Robertson came to bat?

a crappy coach would have just sat there and watched, but Laird had a bad at bat previously and CPM knew that it would probably come down to laird, so get him pumped up and make him mad. That is good game management. Most people knew Stevenson would be walked but knowing that it is important to get him pumped up shows his coaching ability.

we all knew the chances of Krob getting a hit are very unlikely.

now I know you haven't watched this season. Not to long ago Krob was top 5 or 6 in RBIs, he has struggled to get hits, but for what ever reason he got hits when we needed them.
