Cliven Bundy's Response

I love how any time race issues come up, politicians scatter like cockroaches.

Racist old man, or making a point with poor choice of words?.

quote:

“His statements were not a criticism of blacks. They criticized the federal government,” said Brandon Rapolla, a concrete mixer from Oregon who spent eight days at the ranch. “I’ve met the Bundys, and that’s not who they are.”

quote:

“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.

quote:

"They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton," Bundy said

quote:

"In my mind I'm wondering, are they better off being slaves, in that sense, or better off being slaves to the United States government, in the sense of the subsidies? I'm wondering. That's what. And the statement was right. I am wondering,"

Well many of them are slaves to the entitlement system, he is right about that.

But still a dumb thing to say.

The comments are being used by statists to justify their actions unrelated to comments.

Ignorant comments, but what do they have to do with the land management issue? Pretty good way to demonize him, and therefore anyone who wants to support his land issue.

I agree

Bad analogy but I get it

I think he was thinking about sharecroppers and not Kunta Kinte who gets tied to a wagon wheel and beat

Any time race issues come up, politicians either switch their opinions against a person, or scatter like cockroaches.

It's the dirty truth that hurts the most.

People know it's the truth but also know they will be called a racist if they mention it.

And people on this website wonder why everyone else in America thinks the far right-wingers are a bunch of racists.

He's right but will be attacked and torn apart by the media. Incredibly stupid way to phrase his thoughts.

There is no denying that many on welfare will be on welfare forever. They are just part of the paid voting machine for the democrats.

The entitlement system has robbed generations of their initiative to work and learn how to support themselves through being productive citizens.

Truth or propaganda? You be the judge when no evidence of this supposed truth is forthcoming.

How does make it ok that the government is stealing land?
We aren't behind him because if his views, we are behind him because of the rights of all Americans.
