they say will honor hundreds of turkeys killed in a recent truck crash.
I'm pretty sure those were not going to be pet turkeys, but somebodies Thanksgiving dinner.

Does anyone know the location of those Chik-fil-A cows when this all went down?

We already know they hate gay people....and, now ... looks like turkeys, too.

Dante, I always wondered why we like turkey in Fall and Winter but we go back to Chicken in Spring and Summer. Turkey tastes good any month of the year.

I get ripped by my non Cajun friends up here in Shreveport because I make Gumbo in July.

I've always felt some folks who post here have absolutely no human emotion.

I seem to recall trying to make a turkey/sausage gumbo back in the day using leftover Thanksgiving turkey.

Do not recommend....though, still better than the shite food that vegetarians, vegans, and PETA frickos eat.

Best when the turkey is smoked, not fried or baked.

I've got human emotion, but if we go around the world marking everyplace someone died as well as where they were buried we won't be able to go ten feet without without tripping over some sort of memorial.

If your kid gets hit by a drunk driver and dies on the roadside, and you choose to mark it with ...anything. I'll feel your pain.

It's understandable why people do this.

On a lighter note, I notice crosses on the side of the road, but never see a Star of David. Does this mean my Jewish friends are better drivers?

I am with you on this one.

If I know someone who dies at an intersection or on a particular stretch of highway or interstate .... someone maybe not family or even a close friend ... but, a good person ... and someone puts up a marker ... I like that reminder and gives pause to maybe say a prayer for his/her soul and his/her loved ones.

I don't think we'll be tripping over crosses anytime soon.

Perhaps their relatives don't want to fork out the money for some plywood/paint or some pre-made Star of David.

yeah, yeah ... I know ...

If I've already told this story I apologize. I was playing golf with my son who was then about 28. We walked up to the green and we saw a very small white cross stuck about 3 feet from the hole. It was a 'closest to hole' contest apparently going on.

My son said "Wow, some really small person must have died in a car accident here."

I have no idea where he got his sense of sarcasm.

No, it just means that they're running everyone else off the road.
