Why he would make our secondary the best in the nfl.

People need to realize what you're giving up in these trade scenarios. Would you rather:

A) Darqueze Dennard

or

B) Marqise Lee, Kyle Van Noy, and Aaron Murray (this is going by available players at the positions we are picking in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th rounds using Scouts inc. ratings; trading up into the top 13 would take our 1st, 2nd and 4th picks according to the trade value chart)

This is what you really need to ask, because it's cool to say "hey, I like this player, let's get him!", but it's another thing to say "let's sacrifice 3 good players for one specific player that could be really good".

Dennard might be there in the 20's, so the trade up may not take that much.

It depends. I'd love to get him, but not if the cost is too high.

Saints have supposedly shown interest in him. You can put Billy Turner or someone in that ranking range in his place if it makes you feel better.

Not at all. Only two people in this draft I would trade up for are Gilbert and Dennard. I would much rather us do that than take a Marqise Lee or Dee Ford, personally.

If Dennard is there in the 20s and you only have to give up a 3rd or 4th, you probably do it.

Dennard first round, Moncrief 2nd. That's a damn strong draft already.

I'd take a chance on tradig up for Dennard if he was there in the 20's...but even then...we might have to give up a 2nd round pick to get him. I'd give up a 3rd rounder for him, but not a 2nd.

If I remember correctly, to trade up from 27 to the low 20's will warrant around a 3rd rounder plus 27th. That's not bad. If we trade up to mid to high teens, then it's a 2nd rounder. Losing a third rounder for Dennard isn't bad, but I find it hard to believe he'll make it in the 20's.

We certainly wouldn't have to give up a 2nd.

The 9ers just gave up a 3rd last year to move into the teens. It all depends on the draft and the teams.

I'm not saying move up to 17 or something. If he makes it past the Jets and is there at say, 21, you wouldn't have to give up as much as people think.

Last year's class was extremely weak at the top. And I based the 1, 2, and 4 on Dennard going in the top 13. I don't see St. Louis passing on him at all if he's on board.

Id love to get him at 27. But we do NOT need to trade up and give a bunch away for 1 player. We do not have a serious need for 1 guy at any position. Do we have a need at CB? Sure, but not enough to where we give away most of our picks for 1 CB in this draft. And Dennard isnt exactly an elite CB prospect.

Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing the pressing corner needs everyone else is.
