About to book a venue for fiancée and I's wedding reception next Spring and was curious as to your experience at any of these venues. Narrowed it down to 3. Only been to Rosy's Jazz Hall and we both liked it very much.

I've been to a few receptions at Rosy's and they have all been very enjoyable. Nice bar and seperate area for smokers. I like that the band is on a stage. Cool area too.
It's a small venue, so it needs to be a small-medium sized wedding so people don't feel so packed.

you should probably view the other two before you make a decision.

Went to a reception at the Elms. Nice, but kind of small for a reception I thought. This wasn't a big wedding so it didn't matter much. I don't recall there being much of a dancing area, but it was a while back and I could be misremembering.

The Audubon Tea Room is the best venue in the greater New Orleans area if you guys can afford it. Have you looked at it?

There is nothing classier than the balcony in Metairie.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Rosy's, and I've been to a reception there as well. Built for a smaller wedding, but a really cool venue with good food. I can't speak to the other two places.
Be sure to check the parking situation at all of them. I was dropped off for the two times I went to Rosy's, but there didn't seem to be a parking lot. I could be wrong.

We had ours here, but if he is looking at Rosy's for a reception, I am guessing the tea room is too big.

Keeping it under 20 is considered frugal? I'm glad I don't have daughters

I've been to a party there. It was pretty good, but I would shoot for something a little better than that.
Rosy's does a good job.
To me, the best value in the N.O. area is Southern Oaks. At least inquire about the pricing and see if it is worth looking into.
City Park does a good job with their facilities. I think they have 3 venues now.

Balcony is way trashier than Kennah brah.
I had my reception at Chateau CC. Everyone seems to have enjoyed it thoroughly.

Rosy's and Chicory are kind of similar in feel, different parts of town. Elms is different from those two. It's a mansion. Sophisticated. The others are reception venues. Very nice with some funkiness. Go with whatever suits y'all.

Have you tried Southern Oaks?

Havent been to the chicory for a wedding but I have been to the other two.
I like Elms better than Rosy's. I was in a wedding at Elms during Mardi Gras and it was a blast. I just love St Charles Avenue and the houses on that street. Rosy's is very nice also. Wont be disappointed in either
