From KATC in Lafayette

Acadiana observers will be able to see the International Space Station go by tonight between 9:16 and 9:19 PM CDT. Look for it coming from low in the northwestern sky through a position between the Big Dipper and the North Star. When under the Big Dipper it will be about midway between the horizon and the point overhead. It will look like a bright, clearly moving star, about as bright or brighter than Jupiter (the brightest star-like object well up in the west tonight).

It should look great in BR where there's no lights.

Pretty common occurrence. Will happen 4 times in Houston just this week.

I saw it.

It disappeared right under the cup of the Big Dipper.

Yeah, it was crazy to watch it disappear. Like it put on an invisibility cloak.

Way brighter than I expected, but it faded halfway through transit across the sky.

Sure did. I haven't seen it do that before.
