Summer jobs/internships for LSU students

How hard is it for a student between his freshman and sophomore years to get a job or internship over the summer? What are some places that y'all worked at as college students or places that you know of that are hiring college students. Especially with a major like mine in sports administration its gotta be hard, right?

yankfand,
You are in Sports Admin? If so, any experience playing sports, baseball in particular? If so email me. I can give you some leads.

Bro, school ends in a couple weeks. Most internships are already locked up. I usually had accepted my summer internships by early March.

I wasn't saying just an internship. I said job as well. Just wanted some ideas as to where you guys worked when you were in college or if you knew of anything now.

I think that they also call this a 'fluffer.'

How many "student" athletes are in your class?

Stick to something that will provide work experience in your field. Check out Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation, LHSAA, or volunteer opportunities with Saints, Pelicans, LSU, etc...Don't do just a random construction job.

I don't. Just pick up the phone and call them. Don't listen to all the people here talking trash about your major. Most people would love to work in sports college or professional. Probably just jealous. They will tell you how much money they make in their boring accounting job and how many vacations and four wheelers they have as an operator at Dow Chemical.

Maybe Marucci or some youth baseball/soccer league. See what sports are active for kids in the summer.

No. Not a job offer.

Contact Marucci Sports and work for their summer program or try to find a BRAC internship with one of their youth sports programs.
Next year, try to get on with the Saints or Zephyrs (depending on your preference). The experience with Marucci or BRAC will help.
And, legit, I can help you with your resume if you'd like. The LSU career services sample resume is not good.
