Headphone suggestions for my wife

I was wondering if I could get some expertise from you musically inclined folk.
My wifes birthday is coming up and she works in an office and could use a good set of headphones. She is a smaller girl so she wouldnt want huge cans on her head. Also the ability to hear if someone comes up behind her so she can hear a bit of the outside noise.
I am looking at the sub $100 if possible. This is one of a few different gifts. Stylish for a female would be a good plus.
Any good suggestions on this front?

Koss portapro's. Best headphones you can buy for the money.
Look weird as hell, sound incredible.

Both are available at Sam's Club @ $99.95.
I have both and are excellent headphones. Also, bought a pair of over the ear for my daughter for Christmas to bring to work and she loves them.

Can't speak to the female aspect, but my recommendations for 100 dollar-ish headphones generally are the Creative Aurvana Live for around 80 bucks. For a smaller headphone that a female may prefer, check out the AKG 460 mini.
If you could step up to 150/175, you can get some really good headphones that are on the ear and not too huge:
Sennheiser Amperior
Audio Technica ATHESW9A
The Harman Kardon CLs are currently like 90 bucks on Amazon, which is a huge discount. Granted they were heavily overpriced, but at 90 bucks that is a good, stylish package.
For a female, my best guess in a fairly quality phone (stylish, multiple colors) would be the B&W P3, but they're 200 bucks.

I have the bose ear buds pictured and they were a waste of money for me (purchased for gym)... I prefer the ones that came with my iPhone..
Now, I have the bose over ear noise canceling (travel a lot) and now I can't imagine flying without them... love em!

Had Audio Technica but they broke.
Now I use Marshall, but it's monitor headphones. I use this for recording, and just to listen to some music.
They sound great, but are kinda pricey at about $200.
Audio Technica can be had for under $100, but they might be too bulky. The quality is great though.
Koss PortaPro, as already mentioned, is solid. Looks weird, but great and in your price range.
Sennheiser HD280 is good
Grado SR80i Is around $100, also good.
Sony MDR-V6
For some earbuds:
Bose IE2s

Great info guys. She is a 90 lb chick and doesn't like the bud type design. Will take a look at the over the ear designs.

By the way, in browsing headphones for myself, Amazon has Sennheiser Momentum On-Ears for 150 bucks if your wife likes pink. That's a very good headphone among the more style-focused models.

That's pretty cool; didn't realize Marshall made headphones. Might have to get a pair just for shits & giggles. Love anything that has the Marsahll name on it.
