Headed to Vegas in October. Ive been once and stayed at THE Hotel @ Mandalay Bay. Loved it. So many suggestions from friends for other places, but of course the opinion of the OT means more.

Why are you going, who are you going with and how old are you?

I loved staying on freemont. I would spend my day and most of the night on the strip and would finish at freemont where the gambling was "looser" and the beer was a whole lot cheaper.
but, i'm a tight arse.

Going to Vegas in three weeks and haven't decided on a hotel yet, . Never stayed at the MGM, but leaning towards staying there to take advantage of the lazy river. Plus it's next door to Wet Republic if we want to do a party pool scene on Sunday instead of the laid back scene at the MGM pools.

These threads always seem to be everyone saying Venetian or Cosmopolitan. In the sort of middle range (location and pricewise), I have enjoyed Monte Carlo and Planet Hollywood.

Going to enjoy Vegas...27, going with 4 bros.

Monte Carlo
Best place to gamble in Vegas IMO. The high roller room only has a minimum of $20 a hand for blackjack and is pretty damn nice.

In that case I would suggest the Cosmopolitan.

Venetian is legit since the rooms are all suites. You really can't go wrong with the big names on the strip.
Bang for the buck, you could stay at the Monte Carlo and get a top-level suite. You can get those for the same price of a "standard" room at the Bellagio, Ceasar's, or MGM.

stayed here in December. Would recommend. Best "standard" room I've stayed in.

The Bellagio or the Wynn are the best ones

Bros love the Cosmopolitan. I enjoy the quietness of Bellagio. I also like the Venetian for its big rooms and Caesars for its central location. The rooms at Planet Hollywood are tiny, but it's cheap and the location is good.

I stayed at the Cosmo for my bachelor party and had a great time. Going with the wife in a couple of weeks and will be staying at the Belagio. Will let you know how they compare.

Mix and Foundation Room are two of the best places in Vegas. The only problem is how far they are from everything else.

I have left my heart, soul and liver at these places to many times.
