Rumor: Louisiana Tech's Michael White will be Tennessee's next bball coach

Doesn't sound like this is going to happen. White apparently wants a large buyout if he is fired and Tennessee wants to keep it low.

Apparently in Tennessee's offer White would owe Tennessee twice as much for leaving as Tennessee would owe him for firing him. That is the hangup. Doesn't sound like Tennessee will budge though.

Yeah he's covered if the UT contract is bad because he's gonna have the Ole Miss job handed to him after next season when Kennedy is finally fired.

That doesn't make any economic sense. He shouldn't sign it. He'll have a good team next year and other opportunities will come along.
