So I've got a commercial kitchen. Average entergy bill is 400-600 give or take.
I'm seriously considering a good set of solar panels, seeing as how great these advertised rebates are.
Anyone have any experience with them? Are they as good as everyone says they are? Almost seems too good to be true. Huge rebates from the government and no electricity bill?

Mostly because you didn't sit down and think about it.

You can certainly make a decent dent in the bill with solar panels, I doubt you will be able to get to no bill.

Approximately where do you live and about how many kilowatts do you use a month?

I hope you're not planning on voting for anything but Democrat anytime soon...

mid city, and 3300-3700 per month.

Is the 75kw system measured per month or year?

It is the amount of power the system can produce at peak sunlight and no clouds.

With the cloud cover we get, south LA gets the equivalent of 3.5 hours of full sunlight.

So on average, a 75kw system will produce 262 kwh a day.

That is a hefty investment....unless you really feel like you need it I would go without batteries and just use a grid tie system.

When you are short you buy power from the electric grid, when you are at a surplus you sell it at the same rate you buy it (The meter actually runs backwards).

Are you sure you have a big enough roof to place a system that big?
