Slavery and guns

I was watching A movie
last night that involved slavery, and it made me wonder just how long the slave movement would have lasted if slaves had guns? In some scenes, there were 30 or more slaves and only one overseer with a gun yet no one tried to escape. And before you say this is dumb, or a duh thought, isn't that what the gun grabbers want? Is it any dumber than them having us think we would all be safer if no citizens had guns?
Watch any movie and the person with the gun is dictating what happens. And in the same scene, if the gun changes hands, the one without the gun is begging for mercy instead of dictating the rules.
So why do the gun grabbers only want the gov. and criminals to have access to guns?

Power comes from the end of a gun. Always has, always will.

Yet there are many in this country that believe we would be safer as a nation if the citizens were disarmed.

I talk to some every day. Otherwise normal rational people who truly believe taking everyone's guns away would make us safer. Apparently, history means nothing to these people?

They just apply what they know about history to present day. These are the type of people who truly believe we have "evolved" as a species. These are the same ones who can't understand Putin invading Ukraine because it's 19th century politics.
Think about it. Would you pay taxes if it weren't illegal. And who enforces that law. Cops with guns. If the government couldn't force you to pay under threat of imprisonment then noone would pay. They say the pen is mightier than the sword. But the pen is only mightier than the sword until the guy with sword decides the guy with the pen can go frick himself.

The pen would be worthless if it didn't have millions of swords to enforce it's writing.

Most Americans have grown up appreciating and valuing our Government, Rev. Trusting too. They can not believe that our own Government could ever turn on us; they do not understand that a Government is no better or worse than a gun. Both are good or bad in relation to the Principles which they serve.
If the Principles that protect Individuals were to undergo a "fundamental change"....and the powers that be employ the 'bait and switch'...well... .

I'm not starting with you tonight. I'm about to leave.
And you may not lie, but you sure are mean.

Read up on Australia regarding gun control, the same thing will happen here in a generation or so.

Just because I don't think women should be allowed to vote doesn't make me mean. The fairer sex shouldn't have to be subjected to the pressures of politics. See, I'm really a gentleman.

No.
You're misogynistic.
I'm leaving. Have a great night.

They need to understand that government is the gun, and they'd better like who's holding the gun, or have a gun of their own.
