I've always liked Gattis, but it's absolutely horrible now, esp for the 10.50 it costs.

I like Gatti's. It's absolutely it's own thing. When I want pizza I'm not looking for Gatti's. But every one in a while I crave it. BBQ chicken with no onions.

It used to be dirt cheap before they closed the one on campus. Can't comment on it now.

No. It's a college gorge meal type of place.

Depends on the city you are in I think. If there are few other options it's not terrible. Cheap and you will leave stuffed. If you live in a great pizza city I wouldn't waste your time.

Again, to me it really is it's own thing. Don't go expecting anything traditional. In fact, I'd skip it. Had I not grown up eating there every now and then I'd probably hate it.

Yeah I get the vibe it's the Johnny's of south LA (I grew up on Johnny's in Shreveport.). I am still at LSU though, but it doesn't sound worth going that far down Perkins for

ive followed both chains for years since i was a teenager and both did the same thing

both were actually really good for a while and then cicis started using a thicker crust and less cheese so people would eat fewer pieces at the buffet

gattis followed suit a couple of years better

i remember going to Gattis off Ryan St in Lake Charles growing up and it was the shite

now all the gattis are a shell of its former self

with that being said, i still eat both and gattis wins because it has a huge salad bar and other choices
