Anyone know where to get one on the Northshore today?
Mom wants one for her house, checked Lowes and Home Depot websites and they dont show any.
If not, Ill just order one online and wait.

are you talking about a burner to boil crawfish?

You probably need to try specialty hardware stores. Something like a Goodwood Hardware in your area. Propane and NG do not cook the same and can be very problematic for boiling...

Thanks, Ill give them a call.
Ive heard the negatives about natural gas not getting hot enough for things. Heard for a bbq pit it would never get above 500. My experience is that it works fine, and the pit goes well above 700 degrees.

My 15 year old Weber is natural gas and I can turn all three burners up to max and it will peg thermostat at 725. not sure how hot it gets but it will burn off whatever is on the grates. (Even the Conecuh sausage that is wrapped in bacon that has brown sugar, chili powder and pepper flakes, which makes a sticky mess)
FYI the porcelain racks that are standard are CRAP. I had a welding shop make me one out of stainless rods and it is indestructible.

I saw the guy that makes the G4 at the sportsman show. He claims that it only takes 3 minutes longer to come to a boil with his burner than with propane. I wish I would have bought one at the show because they were selling them for $250. They are $300 on the website.

Probably need a high flow meter installed from the gas company also. I know 2 people that had that done

Works great for BBQ pit. Not so much for boiling

I have a natural gas burner. 32 jets on it with a 3/4 hose going to the burner. I made it myself. Yes it does a little longer for the water to come to a boil but not much longer. I do plan on getting a Cajun Rocket Pot to help alleviate that priblem. The good thing about it that its not noisy so I can have a conversation without raising my voice.

Got a G4, so far it took 38 minutes to boil a 1/4 full 100 qt pot.

Very similar ti what I have. I modified on those single jet wal mart specials and used a 32 jet natural gas burner that I got from the local hardware store.

20 minutes to return to boil, I'll stick to propane.
Going to suggest the high flow meter to her as well.
Also, the g4 does not come with a regulator. Don't know if you need one , but I'm going to look into it.

Did you upgrade the rest of the gas lines from the meter to the burner to get more flow?

No, its my moms house and she wanted to try it.
Crawfish came out great despite longer times.

Nope.
Mr dryer is behind the wall of my carport. I simply removed some siding, cut a section of plywood out to enable me to get to the 90 that goes on the inside to the dryer, then I took the 90 off and installed a TEE. I then put a nipple to get to the outside and a nipple frim the tee to the inside. Put everything back in place on the outside and installed a valve.on it with a quick connect. Works well. Ill get some pics up later.

I have the G4 burner and love it. So quiet, and quick to get going. I have my outdoor kitchen with hot water close to where I use mine. I have a 5 gallon pot I use and fill my crawfish pot with hot water. 17 minutes to come to a boil for one sack of bugs. Now it seems a little slow coming back to a boil, but I've learned to adjust that amount of time; I bring it almost back to a boil and kill it. I use mine to cook on low under my big jambalaya pot. Now I've rigged up my fire pit to light from natural gas too.

17 minutes seems long, today I was cooking in a 80qt cajun rocket and getting to a boil in 6 mins.
