Watching the newest one right now. Hard to decide but the North Korea one probably stands out the most for me.

Yep, the Philippines one was the first one I watched and it set me on a binge. It ranks up there close to Liberia for me.

The best one from the netlix series was the episode on Liberia. I think this was the one where they were in the most danger.

General Butt Naked. Dude went from canabal mass murderer (including child sacrifice) to a West African Christian/Tribal minister. As passionate as he seems to be about his faith, he looks like he could easily transition back to killing if the war pops back off.

Liberia in General is just fascinating to me. Originally set up as a colony for freed US slaves who tried to enslave the natives as soon as they got there. They even set up plantations. For about 100 years the people that ran Liberia were the former American slaves despite being like 5% of the population. Liberia was actually a popular American vacation destination with nice resorts and hotels until the tribes said F that noise and turned it into hell on earth with child soldiers literally eating their enimies. After watching it I could barely sleep for a few nights because the thought that people actually live like that in this world is so disturbing. The Canadian guy that lives over there is a.) brave and b.) dumb as hell.
