I drive up every year to boo the Jets first round pick, and then I immediately drive home.

I was going to go this year until I found out you have to wait outside two days and hope you're in line at the right spot to get them. Will call only

Next year I'm going to sit in line and go though. Bad part is the event is broken up. I'd have paid $200 a ticket for the all day event.

But tickets arent for sale.

It's not worth the hype. Its funny seeing all the rantards from different teams, but I could find a lot better things to do with my time while in NYC.

Have been tossing around the idea, but the back porch draft shindig has grown too large to skip.

Well, looks like I'm screwed!!
I'll be there and was trying to slide in somewhere in days one and two. May have to find a pub with ice cold brew. Would be nice to get in there!!

I don't think it's that hard to get in.

It's crazy.
I've talked to a half dozen people in the NY/NJ area in the last 6 months including family, and all of them said they didn't know anything about the draft.
Their first question was, what draft??
Hope you right!!
I will let ST know

I always hope to see an audience brawl. Like on the level of that Artest game that time.

I wouldn't go even if it was a guarantee I could get it.

For me, the draft has always been about getting together with friends, and eating and drinking all day. It's nice having a couch to crash on and tons of good food.

Don't blame you one but for that!!
That's how I've watched it since it's been coming on tv.
Just curious to see what it's like.

Yea,don't get me wrong,I would LOVE to go...BUT at the same time there's something about just waiting on Draft day and counting down till it's officially open...Nothing but snacks and drinks!

I was up there in 2010, when it was going on. Walked by when everyone was lined up. Took some pics outside. I didn't realize how tickets worked, but it seems like you have to wait in line to have a chance. I did talk to a security guy outside after it had started (this was the 2nd and 3rd round nights) and he said "I don't have anymore tickets". Seems like I could have gotten in, if I had given a little more effort. Sorry, this post wasn't much help

Same here. With no commentary or highlights, I would be completely Tony Danza'd by the fourth pick.

I think there's an area with games and shite like that, but you're essentially just sitting in an auditorium watching grown men hug every several minutes.
