Excellent summary of conservative/progressive differences

Is the constitution the means to create democracy or protect liberty from democracy? The answer is clear and obvious, but liberals/progressives have reversed it's intent.

True, O...but pretty damn irrelevant re the current ideological dynamic.
There was some other guy that said that 'once the electorate realized they could write themselves a check out of the Treasury'...that was it. Downhill from there.
Our populous has long since left the check writing mo...we're on the credit card now.
We'll take our arse-kickin and be better for it.
