A quote from Rory Reid (on O'Reilly)...Harry's son, in regard to the Bundy scenario.

Border Laws. The ACA. Voting Law. Obama/Holder.

Disgusting.

*sorry for the edit*.

Where on earth could people have gotten the notion that it's ok to ignore laws you don't like?

It's actually pretty spot on, even if Rory is a douche.

I guess so, even if the people that make those laws (upon laws, upon laws, upon laws) do so for their own personal benefit and to create a bubble for a protected class.

I mean, laws are laws, right? Can't have an unlawful society.

Or, just maybe, all those laws are the problem. Perhaps there are so many laws that any lawyer with a creative use of words can bend and twist them to his liking.

Need to get rid of a bunch of ranchers to make room for a pet project? "Hey, there's a turtle law for that somewhere!"

quote:

After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”

Sounds about right.

The important thing now is to buy the law. Koch's got this.

Ried didn't finish ,he shoulduz went on to say," we can't ignore the laws that we don't like, unless your a politician or connected in DC. frick him and the rest of those people.
And people actually believe that shite, while Ried ,Obama, MCCain and the rest of em do exactly the same thing. Bundy's case goes a lot deeper than him not paying ,that's just a bunch of Goverment lies!

Blumberg is vowing to spend a fortune to remove guns from the populous; at least to a degree that a segment of the citizenry could defend their Natural/God-given Rights against the mob-rule tyranny of the majority...so...where does he fit in, Drizz? Gonna slam the Kochs (promoting their ideas with their money) because they counter his money, with theirs?

And that mega-rich dude in California that is pushing the AGW meme.

Money can purchase false advertisement that FOOLS a segment of the electorate into voting for disingenuous politicos who LIE re their intent; an existential 'bait and switch' like Mosi over in Egypt. Or money can 'buy' a politician and corrupt them after they are elected. But money can not buy/make bad Law. Only IGNORANT voters can do that.

There should be NO CENSORSHIP whatsoever of the public dialogue. Period. ALL 'back room' deliberations re the lawmaking process should be PUBLIC. I remember Obama promising that C-Span would televise the Healthcare Law process. More bait and switch. And the smart folk know it. And the Collectivists and their dupes IGNORE it - just like the *Moderate* Muslims ignore the Islamists because they tacitly agree with their Totalitarian ends - and we all march toward a streetfight instead of telling the truth and calling the greedy at the top and the bottom...OUT.

Obama and Eric Holder SETS THE BAR. If they can pick and choose the Laws they respect...why can't Bundy...and the rest of us.

"A little leavening leaveneth the whole lump" (biblical). They had better drop this MO, or there will be a heavy price to pay. And neither Blumberg or the Koch's money will be able to save their asses. Or ours.
