Has anyone seen them before? I'm thinking about going to their show at the joy theater next weekend.

Seen them numerous times, back in the olden days theres shows on bt.etree.org to be had. I really enjoy them, its arse shakin music. Im really biased though, john medeski is by far my favorite musician and luther is one of my favorite guitarists. I think i saw them in like '01 in humboldt and a couple times in san fran on that same tour.

I'll be there. The recordings I've heard are great.

I've never seen them but can imagine a lineup of Medeski/Luther/Cody/Randolph being outstanding

I'm definitely thinking about it...my late night schedule is really open at the moment. I guess I blew my load for Phish and String Cheese and didn't really plan for other stuff

I think I am going to check out the Howling wolf cover show with

Dumpstaphunk doing Led Zeppelin
Roosevelt Collier + band doing Band of Gypsies
Gravity A doing Talking Heads
and something called Dub Side of the Moon that people on this board were raving about in tOfficial Jazz Fest thread.

It is sold out but the best show Fri is The Meter Men + Page McConnell with Stanton Moore/Marco Benevento opening. A Phish sit in is likely.

Yeah, I won't hold my breath on finding a reasonably priced scalped ticket for this one.
