With a few weeks of action under our belt, I was curious if there is enough interest to support a recurring baseball betting thread.

Early games just geting underway. Day baseball, a degen's dream. I seem to be liking a lot today:

- Liriano and the Pirates (+102) on the road over Cueto and the Reds.

- Cubs over Yankees (Game 1, +185) That number was just a little too big for me. Tanaka has been good, but I don't think he or the Yankees have done enough to warrant being -200 against anybody at this point.

- Phillies over Braves (-125) Cliff Lee has ridiculous numbers against the Braves lineup. With their retarded bullpen performance, the smarter play might have been to bet them 1st 5, but I'm already committed at this point.

- Brewers over Cards (-109) Just can't see the sweep here.

- Twins over Blue Jays (+120) I just feel like there's value in the home dog here. Feel like the Twins are a little undervalued in general.

- White Sox over Red Sox (+119) Another home dog that I think has a decent shot. This is more of a fade Buchholz move than anything else if I'm being honest.

Anybody else like betting the bases?

Debating going to the game tonight. Hell of a matchup and that's not a terrible price for 7. Didn't really get around to looking at totals yet, so I might still have a couple other plays

Felix is historically mediocre against TEX and @ Rangers Ballpark
Against TEX
4.18 ERA
1.33 WHIP
.264 BAA
@ Rangers Ballpark
4.45 ERA
1.45 WHIP
.270 BAA

...but this TEX lineup is w/o Beltre, Choo & Prince aren't hitting, and Felix is in great form. This SEA offense has fallen flat after a big opening series against LAA & TEX hasn't hit all year.

Vegas has had both offenses overpriced; I really like that play (2x play).

Yeah I actually just saw Felix's stats for the last 5 vs the Rangers pop up on my twitter.

0-4
7.57 ERA
2.03 WHIP

Very interesting, but you're right about the Texas lineup. Hell they took 2 from the Astros 1-0 last weekend.

Well with Twins/Jays postponed, the Pirates loss and Cubs well on their way, it's time to start chasing

Adding KC (-115) over Houston.

Yes, that's always a winning prescription.

Well in seriousness, I don't understand why that line is so tight. It was a 'no play' in the -130 range but I just noticed where it had dropped to -115, so I added it. Is news of Springer's call up getting money on the Stros? I know Keuchel has pitched pretty well too, but so has Guthrie. Plus Astros bats have been terrible and I'm not buying that one prospect will immediately spark the offense.

Braves -120, SFG -115, SEA +105

Haven't looked at night games too hard yet but will probably hop on CWS as Lester struggles against them

2-4 yesterday with some putrid offensive performances. Pirates, Phillies, and Cubs all got shutout on 3 hits. And then there was the White Sox bullpen

On MIL (-102) and WAS (+145) so far. I'm a huge Wainwright fan, but just think there is a little value on a good Nats team playing at home as that big of an underdog, regardless of the pitching mismatch.

ETA: glad I jumped on Nats at 2:15 this morning when I couldn't sleep. Down to +126 now on 5D and would probably be a no play for me at that price.

I should really start picking my spots better instead of playing so much. Anyway final plays will be:

MIL (-102)
WAS (+145)
MIN both games (+108, +111) Just banking on them not getting swept. A split still comes out ahead
TB RL (+130)
Dodgers/Giants F5 UNDER 3.5 (-120)
SOX/SOX F5 UNDER 3.5 (-105)
and just for funsies HOME TEAM RUNS > AWAY RUNS (+110)

4-3-1 yesterday. I'll never complain about a winning day.

Friday picks locked in last night:
WAS (+105)
ATL (+100)
SF (-102)
TB (+102)
SEA (+110)
TEX/CWS UNDER 10 (-107)
