Is this really passing as legitimate journalism?

Is hating hipster-hating the new hipster?

Does this Katrina girl really think that she is being insightful?

The hipsters in my office all dressed like hipsters for Halloween. The ensuing wave of irony changed our music choices forever.

Two different groups. Dubstep is just the latest fad among high school and younger college kids.

Stop the hipster hate, as it is probably the most hipster activity New Orleanians have ever participated in -- Katrina Brees

Do we have a class of "professional New Orleanians?"

This is a great way to put it; much better than hipsters.

Boston-born Katrina Brees is an artist, founder of the Krewe of Kolossos and the Bearded Oysters Carnival marching groups and an advocate for locally made Mardi Gras throws.

This woman sounds like the ne plus ultra of the "professional New Orleanian" right down to her (obviously fake) name.

Also a lot of truth in the comment from "bywater bob" who says "In many ways Jefferson Parish contains more true New Orleanians than Bywater does." "True" is a loaded word but I think Bucktown (of all places) most reflects the cultural New Orleans I grew up in, or certainly the one that my parents grew up in.

I'll take hipsters over dubstep kids any day. At least hipsters enjoy quality food and drink, even if overpriced.

#1 would be tolerable if he'd just relax and take his shirt off at the beach and maybe get a rad thundercat tat like #3

This times a billion. Also, a bunch of people being "different" by acting and dressing exactly like their "different" friends so that there winds up being a whole bunch of "different" people that are exactly alike = lulz.
