The Twitter buzz is saying this is finally a done deal, and you guys are coming to the Carrier Dome in September 2015. A return game will be played in Baton Rouge at an unnamed date. A formal announcement could be coming at a press conference this afternoon, where our new uniforms are also expected to be unveiled.

I cannot stress to you enough how excited we as Syracuse fans are for this- A big time opponent at home, not in NYC.

That's pretty neat. Maybe by then you'll have some air conditioning in the Carrier Dome.

Hope we'll do better than the basketball team did in Feb 1985.

I love a true home and home, not this crap we are doing with Wisconsin (Houston and Green Bay).

Would love to make the trip.. but I feel like a lot of fans down here will bypass this one in order to make the 2016 trip to Lambeau.

I'm sure the Tiger fans living in the northeast are excited though.

ETA: This is the first I've heard of this and I'm not seeing anything on Twitter from my LSU follows...

Normally I'd agree, there's something to be said about the campus atmosphere when two big time non conference opponents play at home. In this case though, LSU playing at Lambeau is pretty damn cool.

That said, I'm glad to see this one is seemingly at the Carrier Dome.

This. 'Bout a 5/6-hour drive for me, so I'll be there with purple on. Possible bonus ball for fans: The trip can be tweened in with a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

That's our plan. We're probably going to try to do a few days at the Finger Lakes too. Beautiful country in upstate NY

This is why I'm not thrilled.

Would much rather it be Houston/NYC.

As an LSU fan, I'd be infinitely more excited about this game if it were in NYC.

Plane. Get your tickets early enough and it'll be under $400. Not bad.

Flights to Buffalo are usually cheaper than flying into Rochester or Syracuse. Of course, you'll have a longer drive but you could go see Niagara Falls and the Finger Lakes region at that time of the year is beautiful. The Carrier Dome is actually a pretty cool facility, although it is getting old. When Syracuse used to be good that place rocked. Not so much any more but I'm sure it will be when LSU rolls into town.

I'm pretty excited. My wife's uncle is a professor at Syracuse and lives two blocks away from the Carrier Dome. We'll be spending the weekend there.
